MariaCarla In Wonderland: A man inside the head of a fictional fashionista.
“MariaCarla in Wonderland” is a project that was started in February 2010 by fashion obsessed-who would later turn into an upcoming fashion designer-, Pio Rodriguez Boserman, with the aim of educating a new generation of fashionistas... and how? By getting inspiration from a fictional fashionista called MariaCarla after Italian supermodel M. Boscono.
If in 2010 the project began as a little blog, in 2011 “MariaCarla in Wonderland” took control over other social media such as Twitter and Facebook, started an Inspiration board on Tumblr, set up partnerships with other bloggers and entrepreneurs, and a design project. Moreover, it is now being represented in exclusive events thanks to its founder, Pio Rodriguez Boserman, and to its new Strategy Director and Coordinator of special projects, Rui Egido.
“MariaCarla in Wonderland” doesn’t belong to any fashion house, nor has it an exclusive partnership with any fashion company. The founder’s view was, and it is still, to be independent in order to choose which content can be included; everything is accurately designed and selected to shine over the thousands of new bloggers, designers, stylists and fashion insiders.
THE BLOG.
“MariaCarla in Wonderland” “THE BLOG” represents the 80% of Mc’s work, which is written by Pio Rodriguez Boserman.
It isn’t based on news from the fashion scene, nor on personal style; it is a style guide for the modern fashionista and for every fashion lover who is tired of the monotony of published magazines. THE BLOG gets you inside the fashion field through a n outsider’s point of view; you don’t need to be afraid of not understanding how this world works as long as “MariaCarla in Wonderland” is around.
In addition, there are usually a lot of reviews on collections, photoshoots, news etc. As the blog does not collaborate exclusively with any fashion enterprise, it is completely free of any sort of control over the comments. Every review and criticism follow Pio’s heart and way of thinking.
In May 2012, “MariaCarla in Wonderland” finally became “International”. With the help of a net of international correspondents, this project gets a worldwide dimension, showing different points of view from the most exciting, culturally rich places on Earth.
Twice a month, each international correspondent will publish an article on “THE BLOG”. They are free to write about everything they like about fashion.
Moreover, with “MariaCarla in Wonderland” “International”, the international correspondents will be representing the project in social events in their countries.
